Brain Breaks
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I did and now it is back to reality.
I love to give my kids (3rd graders) brain breaks, especially if I have tests back to back. I've done things like stretches and Simon Says. I am looking for some new ideas. One of mine is to use my Smart Board and play current (kid friendly of course) music that they can dance to easily at their desks. I'm thinking of the Just Dance games in my head. But then pops in the reality of copyright. So I was wondering if anyone had suggestions or uses simple dance ideas in their classroom. I have no problems going and buying a great video to play that was meant for use in the classroom (or one that doesn't involve violating copyright laws).
Any recommendations, suggestions, etc?

I second looking on Pinterest for ideas. In regards to dance, I think that's a great idea, but I'm out of my element on that one. I also don't know anything about smartboards. Are you saying that you can set it up so that they play just dance through the smart board?
FYI: I'm following you now!

Koo koo kanga roo google it they have awesome dance videos. One is the dinosaur stomp. My class dances and sings to it almost everyday. They beg to do it!! We also take fast walks around the building/property. They never know where we are going or for how long.

I used to do sittercise, but not with a CD, it was just a list of exercises... the kids loved it for the most part... though some were a little on the lazy side... it was quite a workout!
