Good news:
I guess I must've convinced the nurse to hold off on the CPS report. She ended up doing a home visit yesterday afternoon.
This morning before the bell rang, I got a phone call from the office letting me know that my student was "cleared." The little girl came to class with a smile and announced, "I think it's finally gone!" She went on to tell me that mom and dad spent hours working on her hair, bedding, clothes, stuffed animals, etc.
I hope she never has to go through this experience again. Poor thing--she's such a sweetheart!
