Hello, Everyone!
I'll preface this by stating upfront that I am not a teacher, yet. I have quite a way to go before I even student teach. I came across this site while doing homework for my Educational Psychology class and realized that I had stumbled across a goldmine!
A bit of background: I never attended college after HS. I was married young (no children) married twenty years, then right before I turned 40...well, let's just say I came across a situation that ended my marriage and I basically started my life over again.
A year ago (in November) I turned 45 and took a good hard look at my life. I started college (community college right now) last January as an Education major....I always dreamed of doing two things with my life: teaching HS English and being a journalist. I’m working towards making one of them a reality.
I’m probably a tad insane to even think about entering the teaching profession this late in the game, but, better late than never.
I hope you all don’t mind my joining you on this forum. I promise not to pester you with too many questions.
