Interesting new teacher certification statistics

My college's education department emailed out their graduation and certification statistics for the Spring, and they're really interesting. Let me preface by saying that the school in no way limits the amount of people who enter any certain program (except music). My school is definitely renowned for their music education program, so that's why the number of music graduates is so skewed. The rest of the programs can be considered equal in merit.

Subject-specific certifications can be assumed to be 7 - 12.

25 math teachers
2 biology teachers
1 physics teacher
0 chemistry teachers
18 earth science teachers
4 social studies teachers
100 music teachers (60 elementary focus, 25 HS band focus, 5 HS choral focus, 10 K-12)
2 foreign language teachers (1 french, 1 spanish)
6 English teachers
25 Pre-K
150 Pre-K - 2
150 2 - 6

I'm not sure what to make of it.

The numbers of social studies and English teacher definitely don't reflect the normal amount of these types of applicants at most credential schools. At our school, the history and english teachers made up about 80% of the population, while math and science made up about 15%. Art and music were 5%. This was just for a single subject credential though.

In my graduating class I was the only one for biology (well, any science for that matter). Most were English, history and el ed. We had 3 music teachers. And one math. Oh and a good amount of SPED.

This was out of about 100 people.

Yeah ignore the music stats. If you google "new york state music education," my school is the first one that comes up.
