We have a school-wide pajama day on the last day before Christmas break. All the kids and teachers dress in their pjs and have an assembly. We sing songs and the teachers read a Christmas story to the kids. Then we all head back to our rooms for a good old-fashioned read-in complete with milk and cookies. It's one of my favorite days of the whole year. I love it because it gets the whole school involved in a community-building activity, it gives us something fun to do on a day when the kids are sure to be crazy, and I get to wear pajamas to school! What's not to love about that?
